2006 chevy malibu battery light stays on. I replace battery since it was 5 1 2 years old. Did not solve problem. Make it home 18 miles ok car restarts idle battery light goes off and on radio same way. Doing some initial research the regulator in the alternator could be starting to go.
Replace battery starts up fine drive 4 miles battery light comes on and radio does the same thing. And or possibly one of the batteries has a weak or bad cell. Driving to work battery light comes on and radio not factory goes off and on resetting each time. Jan 03 2015 1 57pm rippedk20 wrote.
I have a 2006 chevrolet silverado 5 3 battery light has been on for a couple of weeks but truck has been starting system is charging battery checks out with a multi meter every few days now i get nothing when i turn the key but when turned off and on a few times it kicks right off like it always has if i disconnect the battery and get the light to go off i dont think that gonna fix the issue. With it running at battery there should be at least 14 2 volts if not alternator is bad or the wiring is. I did disconnect the battery with engine running engine quit after about 10 seconds. Reset battery light 2006 chevrolet colorado battery light stays on but everything is ok how do i reset it.
2008 chevy malibu battery light is on but the car has only 36k check voltage at battery with car off should read 13 0 volts or a hair higher. Voltage gauge read a little over 14 volts. My battery light is dimmly lit when the vehicle is turned off. May 4 2017 the battery warning light means the charging system isn t working but the fault may lie in something other than the battery.
